For those in the middle of a struggle of faith
Spiritual direction is a one-to-one conversation in which the director listens, asks questions and accompanies you as you notice what is stirring in your life and heart, and look at it again within your relationship with God. People come at times like these.
At times like these
- When prayer feels empty and faith feels dry. Prayer with no words, worship that has become duty. We look at that dryness together as part of your story.
- When God seems silent. In a season that feels unanswered, we listen together for what has already begun and is quietly flowing.
- When you have been hurt or worn out in a church or faith community. You want to keep your faith, yet the community is hard. This is a place to bring that ambivalence honestly.
- When you have set down a role or title and no longer feel sure who you are. We walk through the emptiness that follows when a role was your identity.
- When faith and daily life run on separate tracks. At work, at home, in immigrant life, we look at how faith connects to the everyday.
- When a big decision calls for discernment. I will not decide for you. I accompany you as you notice the direction of peace, freedom and love.
- When loss and grief have made faith feel unfamiliar. We do not rush to interpret sorrow. We stay beside it together.
- When you do not need a solution, only someone who will listen to your story to the end. This space is open to you.
What this meeting does, and does not do
What it does. Listening, questions and silence. Helping you notice your feelings and longings honestly, and looking together at the presence of God who is already at work here and now.
What it does not do. It does not diagnose or prescribe solutions. It is not counselling or therapy, and the director is not a counsellor or a medical professional. Read the full comparison
